For the sixth year in a row, representatives of Romeoville Mobil at 135th Street and Illinois Route 53 have donated $500 to math and science programs in Valley View School District 365U. The grant was made possible through the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program.
This year’s recipient, Martinez Middle School, will use the money to help supplement the school’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program and activities.
“Giving back to the local community is something we’re proud of at Romeoville Mobil and ExxonMobil,” said Mohammed V. Qurashi, Owner and President of the Romeoville Mobil at 135th and Rt. 53. “By driving success in our schools, we hope to forge a stronger bond with the communities we serve.”
ExxonMobil’s Educational Alliance Program has awarded $2.2 million in grants in the past year alone. The program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil dealers like Romeoville Mobil with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through grants to neighborhood schools.
